We all have a voice – ‘Olympus has Fallen’

With permission I would like to quote a ‘film review’ by a lesser known (to the world), but extremely prolific social commentator (albeit mostly on Facebook or at The Celtic Towers in Gent, Belgium), my dear friend Geoff Lee.

On ‘Olympus has Fallen’ (2013) directed by Antoine Fuqua and starring Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Morgan Freeman et al.

To key you in to the plot: ‘Disgraced former Presidential guard Mike Banning finds himself inside the White House in the wake of a terrorist attack; using his inside knowledge, Banning works with national security to rescue the president’ (Thanks IMDB).

Take it away, Geoff:

‘’Olympus has Fallen’, the latest in the longest ever running series of movies entitled ‘America-Explaining-How-America-Despite-All-Evidence-To-The-Contrary-Won-And-Of-Course-Will-Continue-To-Win-The-War’. If you can stomach the inevitable ‘pass-the-sickbucket-quick’ cheesy ‘God Bless America’ bit at the end, this is actually a good film. Worth watching, recommended. In cinemas now, all over the world, except in downtown Pyongyang.’
